Jason Kleppe serves as a Senior Tax Analyst at Crane and Norcross, drawing on more than seven years of progressive experience with the Cook County Board of Review where he gained extensive knowledge of property valuation, assessment methodology, and the property tax appeal process. Jason provides direct support to the attorneys of Crane and Norcross across real estate property tax matters and leverages his comprehensive market experience to support operational improvements. 

In his previous role as a Senior Commercial Analyst with the Cook County Board of Review, Jason evaluated assessments involving residential, commercial, industrial, land, condominium, leasehold, and Central Business District properties, including specialized properties such as data centers. He conducted hearings and analyzed valuation issues with an emphasis on market evidence, applicable legislation and the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) standardized methodology

Jason is a highly recognized subject matter expert in property valuation and served as a technical resource and trainer for Board analysts. His deep industry knowledge spans assessment review, market analysis, legislative and policy interpretation, and the technical and procedural aspects of property tax appeals. Jason holds a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO) designation through the Illinois Property Assessment Institute.

Outside of work, Jason is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.
